Robert M. Locati - Owner / President / Head Geek

Rob Locati has been a proud geek most of his life and wrote his first computer program in 1981 at the age of 13. His formal training is as a programmer with a Bachelors in Computer Science from WSU (go Cougs) in 1990. He has extensive programming and technical support experience from his many years in the computer trenches at IBM and Chevron. This was followed by about 7 years of programming / web design / technical support work at a few different private sector companies as both a full-time employee and an independent contractor. Rob founded Geeks in Khakis in 2003 with the mission of serving the home / small business computer user with ‘exceptional service at reasonable rates’.

Rob's passions outside the computer field include spending time with his beautiful wife (newlyweds in 2008), cooking, and golf (currently a 7.9 Hdcp).

Niki Deering - Office Manager

As a young girl, Niki was always intrigued by how things work.  She got her first computer in 1989 and hasn't looked back.  She was often asked by friends and family to fix their computer or teach them to use software such as email or word processing programs. 

Realizing that the computer / technology field is where she wanted to pursue a career, Niki attented the Business Computer Training Institue in Vancouver, WA.  She earned her certificate (with honors) in May of 2004.  Niki joined the Geeks in Khakis team in January of 2005.

Her hobbies outside of work include spending time with her 2 lovely daughters and new grandson, making beaded jewelry & purses, as well as her pet birds, dog, and cat.
